Kennel Cough Mode of Transmission


Mode of transmission of the Kennel Cough:

Kennel Cough is a highly contagious disease that occurs in places where dogs are different age groups and susceptibility. For example, squares or parks where dogs are adults, street and next to a newly acquired puppy with just a few days of vaccine. The dogs also who are underfed, undernourished. The veterinary, daycare centers, research centers are also places where they can infect susceptible dogs. There may be a history of recent exposure to unfamiliar groups of dogs at a dog show or similar events.

The etiologic agents are present in high concentrations in respiratory secretions of the dogs affected by the Kennel Cough and spread by coughing or sneezing. In the case of the virus adds the intestinal tract. These also are carried on hands or clothing of persons dependent on the animal and containers of food or drink. The infectious agent enters the animal through the pharynx i.e. through the mouth or nose.
